Timothy Albone was Afghanistan correspondent for The Times and Sunday Times between 2005 and 2007. He has also reported from Iraq, India, Pakistan, Yemen and Ethiopia and has worked for Sky News, DWTV, CBC, CBS, NPR, The Globe and Mail, The Scotsman and Esquire magazine. In May 2010 a book, written by Timothy and published by Virgin Books, will be released.

Leslie Knott

LESLIE KNOTT

Leslie has worked as a journalist in Afghanistan for the past 5 years. Her projects have included setting up a radio station for women in Maimana, teaching photography to rural women in Badakshan, and reporting on the situation of women in Afghan prisons. Her photographs have been published in the Sunday Times, The Observer, The Guardian, Sun, Closer Magazine and the Tyee. She worked as a Second Unit Director on the documentary, "Unheard Voices" and produces films for embassies and NGO’s including UNICEF, Human Rights Watch and CIDA.

LUCY MARTENS

Lucy studied Film & History in London graduating in 2004. With a strong passion for documentaries and people’s voices she spent three years working and traveling throughout the Middle East, using Dubai as her main base.

 

Her first feature film documentary "Voices From Inside – Israelis Speak ", won best documentary at the Egyptian Film Festival in Cairo and the "Armin T Wegner Humanitarian Award" in Los Angeles in 2009. Lucy works as a freelance camera person and editor and has shot and edited for UNICEF and CNN in Afghanistan.

Rachel runs Bungalow Town Productions in the UK with her partner Director/Producer Jez Lewis. She specialises in producing international feature documentaries for a worldwide audience. She has worked with many award winning film-makers including: Geoffrey Smith (The English Surgeon), Robin Hessman (My Perestroika), Marc Isaacs (All White in Barking, Men of the City), and Oliver Hodge (Garbage Warrior).

 

Rachel runs Bungalow Town Productions in the UK with her partner Director/Producer Jez Lewis. She specialises in producing international feature documentaries for a worldwide audience. Films that Rachel has produced have been screened at many of the worlds leading festivals including: Sundance, Edinburgh, London, Karlovy Vary, Hotdocs, Silverdocs, Vancouver amongst others.
